JUST HAD TO SHARE

So, one of my goals is to start posting AT LEAST 4 - 5 times a week MINIMUM!  Wouldn't you know it.  My darn internet server went down and I'm currently at my daughter's work at It's A Grind coffee house (in my opinion better than Starbuck's - just sayin'!) on her laptop.  Boy, do we take all this tech stuff for granted and rely so much on computers, internet, cell phones, etc.  My, how did we ever get by "back-in-the-day"?

Sorry, no samples today.  But, I will share some personal history about myself and Stampin' Up! from when I first started as a demonstrator in April 1992.  Yes, April will mark my 20th year anniversary with this WONDERFUL company.

Anyway, I was just asking, "How did we ever get by, 'back-in-the-day'?"  Well, when I first became a demonstrator my demonstrator starter kit cost much more than it does now and the value of it was much less.  I don't remember the exact cost at the time, but I do remember, it was at least $200.00.  I'm thinking it was $250.00.  Back then, we had to "snail mail" our orders into the home office, which at the time was located in Boulder City, NV (or was it Las Vegas?).  Anyway...  Orders would arrive THREE WEEKS later!

Now, all this to say, Stampin' Up! and technology has certainly come a long way baby!

Darn, they're getting ready to shut the doors, so I need to get going.  Hopefully, by tomorrow my computer internet server will be up and running and I'll be ready to share more fun samples with all of you!  

Ops!  There goes the lights, I think that's a hint that they're closing!  Gotta run!

THE DAY AFTER VALENTINE'S

Okay, so Valentine's Day is over, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't still show those we love how much we think and care about them, right?  Our "hearts" will always be with them.  So, our Take It To Heart (w- 125520  c- 125522) and Loving Thoughts (w - 125843   c - 125845) stamp sets make the perfect pairing to let that special someone know you're thinking of them.  And, with the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (#125599), you can cut the perfect heart shape to go with the designs of the Take It To Heart stamp set, as you can see from this card.

Don't you love these flat backed pearls?  They're the Large Pearl Basic Jewels (#125577) found in the Occasions Mini Catalog, along with the previously mentioned items.  The floral DSP is from the Twitterpated (#125406) collection and yes, you guessed it - also found in the Occasions Mini.

To make these, apply your DSP using our Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755).  I used our Decor Elements Applicator (#114285) to smooth our the bubbles.  Next, using either a paint brush or sponge brush, apply Crystal Effects (#101055) to seal. 

I applied felt pads, also can be purchased at your local home improvement store, to each of the bottom corners. 

Stacking them, tying them together with our 5/8" satin ribbon and adding the stamped heart from the Take It To Heart (w - #125520  c - #125522) stamp set adds the final finishing touch.

IT'S AN OXIE MORON, I TELL YOU!

I love these two card samples, shown here.  They are so simple (yes, we love simple don't we?), yet still so lovely.  Yes, they look so different, yet they're still the same!  They both use the Mixed Bunch stamp set (w - #125535   c- 125537) for the flowers.  BTW, don't you just love how perfect the cut is?  So easily done using the Blossom Punch (#125603).  And, the greetings are from the Perfectly Penned stamp set (w - 122890     c - 122892).

The DSP for this sample is from from Everyday Enchantment DSP (#126154) and is just one of many choices you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration!  The beautiful 3/8" Pear Pizzazz Pleated Satin Ribbon (#125568) can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog. 

Of course I just had to add a little bit of bing with our Basic Rhinestones Jewels (#119246).

In this next sample I used DSP from Twitterpated (#125406).  As you can see, switching up the flower, as well as the colors, even with the same layout, we have a totally different look.  

For this one, instead of the "bling" for the middle part of the flower, I used one of the brads found in the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (#127279).  Yet another choice from Sale-A-Bration.
